Stoneware is a vitreous or semi-vitreous ceramic ware of fine texture made primarily from non-refractory fire clay. It is dense, impermeable and hard enough to resist scratching by a steel point.
Due to its high strength and durability stoneware has a wide range of use and is traditionally accepted for kitchen/utility purposes. Its temperament (nature) readily allows its use in the oven, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher.
What differentiates our product from other stoneware products?
High Quality clays
Regular Stoneware is usually grey or earthy because of impurities in the clay used for its manufacture.
However, our product is white due to the high quality clays that are utilized in the manufacturing process.
Stoneware in India is generally once-fired. Firing temperatures can vary significantly, ranging from 1000o C to 1200o C, depending on its content.
Our stoneware is double fired in order to produce a better quality and low porosity. Our product first goes through a bisque firing process and then to a Gloss firing process.
All manufacturing and finishing is performed on state of the art automatic machinery (currently not available in India), so there is no margin of error/tolerance on the quality of the final product.
The glazes utilized on the product are of the highest standards, which has resulted in the immense success of this product in the markets worldwide.
The standards with respect to the safety and health, and environment care are exemplary. The manufacturing units are certified with ISO-9001 Quality Management System, ISO-14001 Environmental Management System and OHSAS-18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
